A new way to attack freedom of expression
Society keeps limiting our word choice more and more as time goes on so that we have ways to express ourselves. For example, facebook has reduced a variety of positive emotions to a single like button. Twitter has created a short word limit and hashtags so that people are forced to express themselves in short form. Lol reduces several phrases and emotions to one word. Every day our collective vocabulary shrinks. How will we ever learn to express ourselves in a society that continues to limit our word choice? Words are power. By expanding our vocabulary and creating new words we will regain some of the power and freedom that we have lost.
